Zine One, Spring ‘22

Click here to see our first zine!

In addition to getting settled in to and aquatinted with this new place, we have started seedlings, began bed prep, and are meeting with folks about our mushroom projects!

Already, we have informally learned so much from being in space with one another. But, Orly and Daniella have led us in more formal learning sessions. Daniella shared with us about the indigenous peoples in this region. And Orly made time for us to explore the nature and spirit of seeds. We learned from one of Orly’s mentors Rowan White — this is a link to her Soundcloud and we recommend this episode of Spirit Plate. And this is a blog post from Orly’s mentor Amy at Harvest of Joy titled “What is a Seed.” If you are hungry for more, we recommend Seeds of Freedom and Seeds of Sovereignty.

Much love,

Matt, Daniella, Maya, Gavirel, Orly, Sarah, and Lexi. With loving support from our ancestors and all non-human relatives. Nooch, warm days in the greenhouse, beautiful sunsets, and a really well functioning chore chart. And deepest gratitude to the breath of life that flows through us all.
