Events
Check back here for events as they appear throughout the season. We often host field days and community events throughout the summer, and workshops and holiday celebrations in the fall.
Mushroom Field Day
Come celebrate mushrooms with us at Zumwalt Acres on October 29th from 10am to 2:30pm! In the morning, you'll learn about how we grow oyster mushrooms here, and how you can grow them at home. We'll break for lunch catered by our friends at Sugar Creek Trading Company. In the afternoon, we'll learn about a local mushroom called turkey tail and make a tincture. We'll also have mushroom art making. Pre-made tinctures will be available for you to try and take home. If you'd like to stick around, we'll have an optional walk and forage in the woods around 2:30. Please register on this form if you plan to join us!
Sukkot Festival Weekend
Come celebrate the Jewish harvest festival of Sukkot at Zumwalt Acres! We will be gathering in community for celebration, learning, eating, praying, and singing. Programming will include farm-fresh meals and optional group sleepovers in our Sukkah, songful morning prayer services, a song creation circle with Leah Shoshana, and Sukkot learnings with Rabbi Heather Paul and in community-led workshops. All are welcome. More info about accessibility and the schedule of events can be found in the Sukkot RSVP form. Please RSVP by October 6th!
